Amazon.com Product Description
The Dremel Diamond Taper Point is ideal for fine detail work on hard materials. These include wood, jade, ceramic, glass and hardened steel. Made of steel and covered with diamond particles, the high-speed cutter removes material quickly and easily, getting to hard-to-reach areas. This cutter is designed for use with the Dremel No. 481 collet or No. 4486 chuck. The diamond taper point has a 3/32-inch shank diameter and a 5/64-inch bit diameter.

5 out of 5 stars Most useful Dremel tool for me   October 8, 2007

I do precision shaping and cutting of small metal parts and I couldn't live without this bit. The diamond cutoff wheel is also indispensable.

2 out of 5 stars No good for hard metals   November 10, 2006

If supposely it is carbide should work on hard metals. It broke while tapping the metal. Had to pay extra for a professional to do the job because of the poor quality of this product
