Customer Reviews:

5 out of 5 stars Excellent choice for the DIYer; might be a little 'light duty' for the pro   January 10, 2006

I've been doing-it-myself for over 15 years. Since I typically treat my tools with great care, they last much longer than most of the guys' on the block. And because of that I can get away buying a 'light-duty' tool versus paying extra for a professional or heavy-duty item.

I wouldn't necessarily label it 'light-duty', but maybe 'medium-duty.' A professional, everyday drywaller may find it to flex a bit more than other squares. When you get to the end (farthest from the four rivets) you may find that the straight edge had traveled a little on the drywall. The flex in the four-rivet connection is minimal, but would be noticeable to a pro.

I did like the notches cut out of both sides of the four-rivet connection. This helps to keep your knife/blade from hitting the ruler and nicking both.

**If you are planning on using this square everyday, then I suggest purchasing one with a stronger 90-degree connection.

**If you have trouble holding on to your tools, or tend to run them over with the truck, then I HIGHLY recommend this economical square.

**If you are a do-it-yourselfer like me, then I HIGHLY recommend this square.
