The perfect step stool/toolbox combo July 14, 2007
I'm amazed that this product isn't readily available.Rubbermaid products are consistently excellent in quality and durability. This being one of them. I wish I were able to get another.I've looked it up at the official Rubbermaid site and it appears to not be available..Too bad. This is the perfect size step stool and it doubles as a durable tool box. It is heavy duty and holds my 250lbs without signs of strain or stress. Rubbermaid really should re issue this gem!!

Having searched high and low for another Rubbermaid Step Stool Tool Box I finally called Rubbermaid. They do make the stool and you can either ask Lowe's to order you one (they are the only store that is allowed to order Rubbermaid items that they don't normally carry.) Or you can call a store in Ohio-- Everything Rubbermaid-- 330-264-7119. They do charge shipping and tax. But you will get your RSSTB delivered in a few days. Oh, I am so happy!

I bought one of these 15 years ago to use rigging my sailboat. It's still going strong, but now I have two boats and I need another tool box ...

IF YOU OWN A GMC SAFARI OR A CHEVY ASTRO, THIS ITEM MAKES A FANTASTIC OVER SIZED EXTRA GLOVE COMPARTMENT. IT FITS PERFECTLY BETWEEN THE TWO FRONT SEATS. ON LONG TRIPS I HAVE EVEN EMPTIED THE TOOL BOX AND FILLED IT WITH ICE AND CANS/BOTTLES OF SODA & WATER. I OWN MULTIPLE VANS AND HAVE THIS ITEM IN ALL OF THEM. IT IS VERY VERSITLE. I ALSO HAVE ONE ON EACH FLOOR OF MY HOME FOR STORAGE OF TOOLS, CHANGING LIGHT BULBS, REACHING THE TOP SHELVES IN CLOSETS ETC. I AM PRESENTLY LOOKING FOR AT LEAST 3 MORE OF THESE BUT REGRETFULLY HAVE NOT BEEN ABLE TO FIND THEM ANYWHERE. RUBBERMAID NO LONGER MAKES THIS ITEM AND I THINK THAT THEIR MARKETING DEPARTMENT HAS MADE A HUGE MISTAKE. EVERYTIME THAT SOMEONE SEES THIS ITEM, THEY ASK, "WHERE CAN I GET A COUPLE OF THESE??".

This is one of those items tht I use all the time . It is very sturdy and I love the feature that you can store your tools in it. I have 2 one for upstairs and downstrais . I use it all the time .
