Amazon.com Product Description Hyloft's overhead storage systems allow you to make the most of the space you have available to you. This is a pretty good idea-you can get everything off the floor even when wall space is monopolized by existing storage units. The HyLoft Jr 36-by36-inch unit is made of strong, durable steel with a scratch resistant finish, and each unit holds up to 150 pounds. The height is adjustable from 16 to 28 inches so you can custom fit it to a variety of spaces, and multiple units can be connected to create a contiguous storage area. The open grate design allows you to see what's stored above. Installation is simple-you can do it by yourself in about 15 minutes. Lifetime warranty.--Josh Dettweiler What's in the Box Storage system, mounting hardware
Amazon.com The HyLoft 3-by-3-foot overhead storage system is a clever, clever concept, executed neatly. Installing these in any available space and you create storage space you didn't have. Multiple units can be aligned to fit nearly any space, in a L-shape or T-shape, for whatever available ceiling space you have, and each unit holds up to 150 pounds. The open grate design allows you to see what's stored above--a feature we really like. The finish is clean-looking and super durable and comes with a lifetime warranty. Don't be intimidated by the thought of installation, either--only the most basic skills are needed. Tools required are standard household fare: hammer, adjustable wrench, stud finder, and drill. For innovation, ease of installation, and good old American ingenuity, we give this baby five stars.--Kris Jensen-Van Heste

Great way to use space!! June 12, 2008 The Hyloft Jr. is a great storage device!! We installed them over our garage door (We have 9ft ceilings) so we could use the empty space and have the storage "hidden" when the door is open. They work wonderfully!! We did have to install 2x2 boards lengthwise so that we could be sure to hit studs, but we were prepared for that when we made the purchase, so it was no big deal. I would highly recommend these to anyone!! They are a great way to free up floor space!!
Surpassed Expectations April 28, 2008 Our garage is on the low side, and this 36x36 unit works perfectly. We are a medium height lot(nobody over 5'8") and don't have to duck to walk underneath the Hyloft system (thought it's close, and sometimes we duck on instinct). We've stored so much stuff in ours, and had no idea that it would provide such a large space. The product is packaged well, the directions are just okay - though, honestly it wouldn't be that difficult to figure out without those. However, you do need a good socket wrench, drill and ability to use a measuring tape ...
works well enough, but wobbles January 18, 2008 Product functions as you'd expect. Installation is relatively straightforward. Instructions could be better, though parts are more clearly labeled than with many products, and that's nice. Rack does wobble in one direction (though not in the other) when items are placed on or off. Design of wire shelf units does not make sliding items on/off the rack easy, since a few wires are slightly raised. But given the wobble, perhaps that's a feature rather than a shortcoming.
Good product...interesting time putting up January 8, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
The overall product is good. Solid materials. The starting nails, however, aren't worth much. After hammering the start nails supplied in the shipment, the heads popped off after after a few hits. I resorted to some wood screws that I had from a previous project.
The first unit is going to the hardest to put up. Afterwords, the rest of the units go up fairly quickly because you know what you're doing and you get used to working on the ceiling.
Good strudy shelf December 31, 2007 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I purchased this item about a month ago and installed it recently. I installed it in my basement, which had exposed beams to attach too, which made things very easy. The shelf was pretty easy to put together. I recommend having an extra hand during the installation to help hold things. My only complaint about the system is that the included screws seem cheap, I broke several while screwing them into the beams... luckily I had extra on hand at home... otherwise it would have required a trip to the hardware store, since you only get the exact amount you need with this system. Even with the cheap screws, I would still recommend this item.
