Amazon.com Review "Just three easy steps to a professionally sprayed yard"--that's what the packaging claims on this Gilmour hose end sprayer, and it's the truth. Just fill the bottle, set the dial, and spray. The Gilmour hose end sprayer dilutes as it sprays so you don't have to premix (unless you're using a powdered formula), and the metering dial lets you choose one of 16 dilution rates. We especially liked the little extras: a finger-molded nozzle for comfortable gripping, an unbreakable bottle, a removable deflector so you can switch from spray to stream, and a meticulously written care and instruction booklet. Gilmour's free replacement policy is nice, too. This sprayer is as solid and reliable as they come.
Product Description Sprays up to 100 gallons. No pre-mixing required. Metering dial selects from 16 mixing ratios, from 1 teaspoon to 10 tablespoons. Solid stream spray up to 30'. Built-in anti-siphon valve prevents back flow. Durable poly bottle construction with zinc nozzl e handle. Fingertip on/off control.

No Problems September 17, 2008 I've used this sprayer and it works as advertised. Much easier to clean and maintain then the cheap plastic top sprayers. The sprayer use the material at a very consistent rate, which indicates to me that it's working correctly.
Gilmore Sprayer September 6, 2008 This is the 3rd Gilmore sprayer I have purchased. They work so well friends and family ask to borrow them. I can't say no and they like them so well they can't remember to bring them back! This is a fantastic sprayer and Amazon has the best deals on them.
sprayer August 11, 2008 The Gilmour Professional sprayer is easy to use. It sprays 25-30 feet in the air. It is easy to adjust. I would recommend it to anyone.

And I don't mean Amos. Don't get stuck with those cheap plastic hose end sprayers that last maybe if your lucky last three applications. This baby has real brass sprayers and good old fashioned USA knowhow. For maybe seven or eight dollars more than those cheap ones you have something that lasts. (That's a rare thing these days)Treat yourself right, so long for now Retired Early
Finally, no more mixing. October 16, 2007 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I spray castor oil around my yard with this thing to keep the moles away, it's so much better than lugging a 5 gallon tank of diluted chemical around. Things I like: Good quality metal sprayer, mixing head and nozzle, comfortable grip, good quality plastic payload reservoir with ounces and milliliter marks for easy measuring, sprays a jet stream of mixed fluid for 30 feet or wider area up to about 5 feet. It's fully adjustable, you can spray 1-10 tablespoons per gallon of water or 1-10 teaspoons. Spare parts are available from the manufacturer, nice to know you don't have to throw the whole thing away when an O-ring or spring breaks. Things I don't like: Plastic adjuster dial is hard to adjust, if you set it down in which case it will certainly fall over, fluid leaks out the air vent at the top. The plastic part on the tip that gives you a choice of narrow stream or wide pattern seems rather cheap, and eventually will fall off and get lost. There's really not much spray pattern adjustment other than that.
