A good buy. November 20, 2008 I bought four and all worked fine right out of the box. I'd give 5 stars except the night light is a waste - very dim, useless to the point of wasting electricity (can't imagine it uses much, though). My cost for four of these was less than the cost of just two similar items at Target.
complete waste of money November 10, 2008 basically what you're buying is a night light. I've had this things plugged in for three days straight and there's no flashlight at all. I'm disappointed because that's what I bought it for. Complete junk. And I can't just throw them out due to the rechargeable batteries inside - will have to see how to dispose of them properly. What a ripoff!
Great Addition to Home Workshop October 21, 2008 I have a small home workshop and, as anyone who has worked with power tools can tell you, that means I blow my fair share of fuses. Luckily, I had only done so during the day, when I could easily navigate to the breaker box. However, I figured for ten bucks I could pick up this little gem as a little insurance.
As noted, the "nightlight" isn't anything more than a pilot light. It probably won't help you get around at night. For my application, that's perfect. I don't really need to illuminate my tools for would-be thieves.
My only complaint is that is uses a polarized, non-grounded plug, which meant I couldn't use it as a pass-through for any tools. However, I hooked it up to my lights, which are non-grounded, and it works perfect.
Now I just need to go blow a fuse...
Very satisfied with this light October 10, 2008 I shopped many different lights and, based on the reviews that I read, I chose three of these lights for our house and two for my 95+ year old mother's house where she lives alone. This is a great safety feature that far exceeds the usefulness of battery-operated lights. Good product at a reasonable price.
Worked for 2 weeks October 7, 2008 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
Worked, I knew that it was a low cost emergency light, however after 2 weeks it began to short out, and not work at all. Then it eventually just quit. I tried to take it apart to look for the failure but did not find anything disconnected, so I am not even sure why it stopped working. I wouldnt buy again, but I got what i paid for.
