great light quality for either reading or craft work - easily assembled-small,nice looking and unobtrusive.
Good Lamp October 23, 2008
I like the lamp, adjustable shade is nice, color is good.
Amazon did a great job packing the lamp, but the lamp shade had a couple of scratches in it. Heavy base well constructed for the money.
 Stand broke after two months October 13, 2008
The antique brass is pretty, but the light itself is a very strange washed out color (not at all like the nice clear light color you get in other 'reveal' or full spectrum type bulbs. We kept it, though, because it looked nice in our room. It was functioning just fine for a couple of months, and my husband said the light was good to read by. The problem: after having this product just a couple of months, the stand seems to have broken. It no longer stays screwed securely to the base. Instead it leans over and no amount of taping or puttying by my husband can get it to stand straight again. I would not recommend this product at all.
Good lamp for price October 3, 2008
This is a good lamp for the price, it is stylish, easy to put together and more reasonably priced compared to other lamps on the market.

I've got this lamp about a year ago at joann fabric store and I really love it. It stands next to my computer, and I can adjust the height so it will cast light on the keyboard and on my hands and not to be bothered by bright light shining in my eyes. I do a lot of knitting and other crafting there by my computer now since I have this lamp. It is very sturdy, the height adjusts and stays the way you put it, which is not always happen with this type of lamps. You can rotate the "arm" the shade is attached to, and you can also adjust the angle for the shade. I was looking to buy a craft lamp and heard that ott-light is good, but after comparing them side by side at the store, I did not hesitate to choose Normande lamp for it sturdiness, good looks, and of course price (about two times cheaper).
