Star or pentagon socket April 5, 2008
It is a rare socket to need, however sometimes you will find plumbing traps and cleanouts that have a nut this shape. Also some water valves are shaped like this. I need to get a larger size soon also, because sometimes trap nuts and valves are 1" or larger.
