great battery July 13, 2008 We needed these. We couldn't find them in any stores. These batteries are great.
what can be better than a new battery? February 13, 2008 Of course the battery was great - now why I couldn't get it at my local home depot? And what about battery recycling? Doesn't dewalt want the old ones back?
Amazon was wonderful to deal with (ok the website was wonderful - no people) it's easy to use and had what I wanted.
A Workhorse December 20, 2007 I've used this same drill motor for well over 18 years. It was rated by a consumer magazine better than any other rated cordless drills. I used it heavily and daily on the job rebuilding docks, remodeling buildings, electrical work and plumbing to mention a few of jobs. It has been tossed, dropped, used as a hammer and never failed. I even took off the 3/8's chuck and installed a keyed 1/2" so that I could use larger and more aggressive bits, including 6" hole saws. I've had only one problem and that was a defective battery from the package. Over the years I've purchased two more cordless drill motors, both 18 volts, both brand name motors, both inferior to the Dewalt.
I just want to buy one in the UK November 2, 2003 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
The one I have has lasted for 5+ years and is brilliant. But it seems impossible to buy a replacement in the UK. Looks like my drill is heading for the bin
Great charging system November 2, 2003 1 out of 3 found this review helpful
I have owned my drill, with 2 batteries, since 1991, and this is the first replacement I have had to purchase. (Nov '03) I have used it around the house with a couple large projects in between. I finished off a 2 car garage and an 1100 ft^2 lower level.
