One heck of a screw December 23, 2006
Stainless Steel 18-8 Pan Head Phillips Machine Screw IFI 4-40 x 1/4" Length are a great value. Here you can get a pack of 100 for only $3.75...that's only $.0375 per screw!!! We all know the screw as a simple machine used to translate torque into linear force. I'd like to define it as an incline plane simply wrapped around a shaft, and this one has a pan head to boot! Its low disc with chamfered outer edge is far superior to the button or dome heads cylindrical rounded top.
