Great product, very bright & lightweight. Laser is great for attaching to rifles when scoping in for target practice.

5 out of 5 stars bright and handy to have around   July 27, 2010

Great flashlight, really very bright for its size. The laster pointer is great for exercising the cats. It's a benefit that it uses regular AAA batteries, but it took me a bit to figure out the batteries: there are plus and minus symbols on each end of the battery carrier, but the batteries don't all go in the same way; to make it simple: put the batteries in the slot so that the flat end of the battery is against the spring. This likely holds true for any battery compartment that uses springs.

5 out of 5 stars Greatest Flashlight   June 25, 2010

I really, REALLY love this flashlight! This is actually the brightest flashlight I have and easily puts a D-cell maglite to shame.

It also has a very durable construction that feels really solid and elegant in the hand. I think it's a pretty good size for mouth holding, I've noticed very little fatigue after working on some finicky projects. The flashlight is also COMPLETELY water proof with o-rings at every joint. Seriously!

I actually have two of the "red + white" version that I take camping and one all white for just around the house.

The light is actually too bright for camping because it's just blinding in the pitch black night if you get up to use the restroom (also a good time to hold the light in your mouth ;-p). You might want to get one of the "3 in 1" versions if you want to go camping.

1. White + Green with laser
2. White + UV with laser
3. White + Red with laser

The white + red is the best for lighting a path in the dark of night without ruining your "night eyes", but it's also near impossible to find (I got mine from an army surplus store). Green is a good second choice for camping and UV seems specific to people who perpetually look for invisible stains.

The laser is also very useful for pointing out interesting things like wildlife or playing with cats because not many laser pointers have a toggle switch like this.

My only slight annoyance is that it has one button that cycles through the modes. You'll get used to it quickly enough, but it's a little off-putting at first.

5 out of 5 stars Great little flashlight   June 13, 2010

This is a great little flashlight to have around. The laser pointer is fun too. I think I will buy another 8 or 9 LED flashlight to have around, but with out the laser. When you click the button to turn the light off you have to remember to click it twice or the laser pointer comes on. The flashlight is very bright and small enough to fit in your pocket, purse, kitchen drawer, backpack, tacklebox, toolbox or glovebox. The little case it comes with is nice too.
