Great toilet seat October 3, 2008
This is a well made toilet seat. It is solid, meaning you can sit on the lid and it doesn't flex. When you close the lid, it slowly closes and doesn't slam, how awesome is that! It also is made to quick release for cleaning. I highly recommend if you have a Kohler toilet.

The toilet seat and the lid close extremely slowly and quietly. The cover and seat are made out of a lighter weight plastic than I was expecting. The seat and lid does NOT feel like a cheap seat. It is just made from a lighter weight plastic.
There are no bangs or squeaks or any sounds coming from cover/lid or the seat when it is opened or closed.

Sounds weird, but I searched the net one day to find a toilet seat that would not slam when I shut it or accidentally dropped it. What do you know, they DO EXIST!
I picked up two of these. Let me tell you what - these things should be STANDARD on all toilets! Oh man, so nice just lightly closing the seat or lid and walking away knowing they are gently gliding down. No slamming! None. Not even a peep!
Only downfall is - when visiting friends or what not, you get used to your seat and when you use theirs (they have a regular one) you either catch yourself gently pushing the seat down which will result in a slam, or quickly pushing the seat down, which will also result in a slam (this is done on the quiet close seat if you want it to shut quicker - you push it down).
So, as you can see - you get used to the luxury of a quiet close seat! Don't have one? INVEST IN IT. At least one for the busiest of bathrooms in your home to try it out.
I guarantee you will like it!
