5 out of 5 stars WORK GREAT WITH DRIVE   September 30, 2008
I MOUNTED THIS PRODUCT ON A GOOD SOLID BASE AND IT WORKED GREAT. BE AWARE YOU WILL HAVE TO PURCHASE THE GRIZZLEY 1/2 INCH DRILL.

4 out of 5 stars Nice for the Price   September 9, 2008
This is a very nice tool for the price. No heavy work can be done effectively, but it works great on light work! I recommend this product.

5 out of 5 stars For the price, great   November 11, 2005

I had little room left in my basement shop, and was wanting a lathe to play around with. I had no room for a full standing one, and given I had no experience with a lathe, I didn't want to sink lots of money into one.

I wanted to try it out, and see what it was all about. For the cheap price that this one is, and given I had a spare variable speed drill lying around the house, it was great.

I works just fine for my 'piddling around' uses. You do really have to crank down hard on the tightening adjustments to keep it from moving.

My only complaint, is that I wish it was longer so that I could do longer pieces.

Overall, for the price, an excellent thing to own.

I mounted mine to a spare cherry board that I had, and place it on my jointer bed when I wish to use it, and hang it in an I-beam in my basement when I am done.
