It's made of hardened stainless steel. It measures from .001" to 6" or .01mm to 150mm. It calibratibles to zero, and can change from mm to inches with the touch of a button. These calipers are great when they work. Sometimes though, they put out completely random measurements, suce as 231.55mm when they are only opened to around 20mm. Hard to rely on something so inaccurate...

When shopping online for a digital caliper, I came across this one and it has turned out to be a great little tool for quick accurate measurements. I would buy this one again if needed, and recommend it.
Solid Construction / Accurate / Strong Padded Case July 19, 2008
This digital caliper is quite well made for the price, and surprisingly accurate as well. The very nice protective padded hard case is also a nice feature. I would recommend this caliper to anyone needing high accuracy without spending much more. It's solid, it's accurate, it's a good bargain!

Digital readout doesn't work, very unreliable readout. Changes measurements just by shaking your wrist. Flimsy construction, guess I'll be spending more for a better and more reliable one.......stay away from this one!!

Checked around before purchasing, this was the best price and shipping. Very pleased with quality and features, price was way less than similar offerings. Shipping was faster than expected. Would order from this company again.
