4 out of 5 stars Love Gardena, but ...   August 8, 2008
There are problems with cracking if you leave it out in freezing temperatures (hey, remember to bring it in) and I've also found that leaking can occur with connections unless you use Gardena brand. Hint - If you want to water up to six areas of your garden with different watering times you can't beat the Gardena Water distributor which works with some of their water computers.

5 out of 5 stars No problems   April 13, 2008
I am going to disagree with the other reviews. I have owned a couple of connectors for several years and had no troubles. However, I should add that I have never attached them directly to the faucet. I have always used a short piece of hose with a quick connector to connect anything to any faucet, so it is easy to disconnect at night when it will freeze etc. So mine have been attached to the same pieces of hose and not torqued multiple times at a strange angles as occurs attaching to a bib faucet. The quick connects to the hoses are brilliant, every hose and faucet should have one. Remember the fittings are plastic so make sure they drain if it is going to freeze, I hook mine on a local bush.

1 out of 5 stars A Piece of JUNK!   April 11, 2007

The first reviewer complained that his connector broke after one season. I'll go one better......mine broke after one use!
It worked fine for the first few minutes [so it wasn't broke when we bought it], but then we noticed the main connecting head [the one that connects to the faucet] began to leak. When we looked closer, we realized that the main head had cracked right down the middle!

We returned the connector, and bought one made of metal. It works great.

The moral of this story is, when it comes to hose adaptors, stay away from PLASTIC!

The connector cracked after only one season of use. It is going to be expensive to replace them every year
